The Hemsley Building in New York forms the backdrop and simultaneously clothes the figure. The dimensions blur and are not really discernible. The stylized fashion figure only seemingly enters a backdrop from which it protrudes and yet which merges with it. Here, Sylvia Schramm again follows her claim to preserve the fleetingness of movement as a perfect moment on metal. NOW YOU CAN stands in hand-cast resin for departure and motivation, like the self-confident “walk” of this blogger.

Technique

Schramm’s artistic technique is digital painting, which she has developed into something unique with knowledge from painting. The motif is printed on a shiny aluminum plate using special, elaborate processes, creating a coexistence between the background and the color. The play between matte and gloss allows the viewer to literally feel the material and figurative and characterizes her impressive unique pieces. Writing applied by hand in synthetic resin. In the same technique, the artist developed her series of works “Cutout” from lasered, hand-polished aluminum plates.

Suspension:
