The CATWALK series consists of three works and captures “moving” moments on the catwalk. These scenes emphasize the mutual condition between show and publicist. The audience is almost as important as the show itself; because it carries the message of the collection to the world. The font and headlines, such as SHOWTIME, FRONT ROW and CATWALK, are often used in fashion magazines and indicate the journalistic processing of the shows. The pool position “Front Row” is occupied by the most influential people in the fashion industry. Who sits here is very crucial to the success of the designer and the collection.
These works are deliberately monochrome in black and silver tones. The contours of the forms appear plastic, almost as if swollen, and make the surface of the image almost tangible.
