According to Joseph Beuys’ interpretation, the arrangement of the yellow lemon with the light bulb of the same color is supposed to suggest that the solar energy converted by the plant organism flows through the light bulb as an electric current and continuously makes it glow. Joseph Beuys conceived this late multiple in 1985 on the island of Capri in Italy. When Sylvia Schramm saw it in the “Pinakothek der Moderne” (2019 in Munich), she had just returned from Capri and was inspired by this installation. 34 years later, Schramm feels that Joseph Beuys’ far-sightedness in developing technology from nature has become more important than ever. But man is still far from a global implementation of this idea. That is why the lemons in her work burst apart and the human being (indicated in Schramm’s work in the form of a modern woman) realizes it- relatively helplessly- as if from a “pedestal”.
\nThe work group GRAPHICS includes 10 motifs limited edition, numbered and signed by the artist personally, of 30 pieces each appeared. There are 2 sizes selectable per motif (30 x 40 cm and 60 x 80 cm). Technique: Digital Painting on aluminum with matching color neon acrylic frame.
\nMatching each work there are also artful enamel cups with silver rim.<\/p>\n
